The PRINT Show 2014

The John B. Aird Gallery presents this 11th annual juried exhibition of
contemporary prints from April 29 to May 23, 2014. The exhibition
showcases a wide range of printmaking techniques and practices by 24
printmakers, including works by artists from Ontario, Quebec and
British Columbia. Participants include: Sally Ayre, Carlina Chen,
Victoria Cowan, Robert Creighton, Louis Roy Crout, Pamela Dodds,
Nelrene Dunleavy, Susan Fothergill, Phyllis Gordon, Rose Hirano,
Lucie Jolicoeur CÔtÉ, Jae Lee, John-Ming Mark, Ann McCall, Liz
Menard, Deborah Moore, Kurt Pammer, Laura Peturson, Robert Quance,
Walter Procska, David Whiteside, Laura Widmer, Meggan Winsley, Laurie
Zinkand-Selles.

Printmakers from across Canada submitted entries for review by this
year's jurors, Ed Phillips and Dale Barrett. Ed Phillips is an
independent arts advisor specializing in collections management,
acquisitions and divestitures, educational tours and art appraisal
for corporate and private clients. For over 29 years he was the
consulting Curator/Manager of the Ernst & Young Art Collection, a
private collection of over 4,000 historical & contemporary Canadian
original prints and since 1986, he has been a Volunteer Educator at
the Art Gallery of Ontario. Dale Barrett is an independent curator,
art gallery administrator and graphic designer. He has worked in the
art gallery sector for over 30 years, holding positions at the Art
Gallery of Hamilton, Oakville Galleries, Inter/Access Electronic
Media Art Centre, The Craft Gallery, the Ontario Crafts Council and
Prime Gallery.

An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held on Thursday,
May 1 from 6 - 8 p.m.

The John B. Aird Gallery is located on the ground floor of the
Macdonald Block, an Ontario government building at 900 Bay Street in
Toronto. Gallery hours are Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For

  1. I think you are right. I was pleased when I heard one of my student saying, "I like it here because you are not a bunch of eggheads." We definitely hire tutors who can develop a positive rapport with the student.
